Receiving and Using Your MediFone
1. Set up and Tested by Us
Each device is personally set up and tested by a trained medical alert technician here at Guardian. These settings can be changed by us remotely for free as part of the lifetime service that comes with your MediFone.
2. Delivered from our Office
Once testing is complete, we deliver it from our office according to your preference, whether you want to pick it up, use a local courier, or have it sent via Australia Post.
3. Turn on & test
After it arrives, we strongly recommend you turn it on right away and perform a test to make sure it works how you’d like it to.
4. Press SOS to Activate
In an emergency or whenever testing, it’s simple; press and hold the SOS button until the device activates the emergency sequence. It announces the activation with a voice prompt under our default settings.
5. Press SOS to Cancel
If it’s ever activated by accident, pressing and holding the SOS button a second time will cancel the emergency sequence. It’s best to wait for the MediFone to beep after hearing the activation voice prompt before attempting to cancel.
6. Wear & Charge
Like a seatbelt, you never want to have an emergency but you put it on during every journey. Similarly, we suggest to wear the MediFone whenever alone. Charge it every day to ensure it always remains charged (no need to turn off the MediFone except when flying).

Frequently Asked Questions
It’s extremely reliable. The MediFone has 250 fall detection sensitivity levels. If falling is a concern, this is the one to choose.
The LED screen keeps the user informed while voice prompts guide the user along the way. The geofencing feature is particularly ideal for those suffering from dementia. Overall, though, it’s a great choice for just about anyone.
Compared to our pendant version of the MediWatch (aka the Lanyard Version), the MediFone has a larger GPS antenna and a larger SOS button. These differences may be important for those that either need more accurate GPS reasings or for those who prefer easier access to the SOS button.
However, the MediFone only provides voice prompts in English. For a pendant that provides voice prompts on any language, click here.
It’s best to charge the MediFone once a day. The battery can last more than a day but it depends on the user’s location. Areas with weaker GPS and/or cell
